That being said here are six tips on how to prepare so you can get the most out of your session.

Plan your outfits well in advance.

If you are planning to wear some items you already have, be sure to try everything on before your session, especially if it’s something you haven’t worn for awhile and check whether everything fits. Remember a boudoir session is a great excuse to go shopping! Pick out several looks that make you feel sexy and bring them to your shoot. The more options you have, the better!

Be sure to stay hydrated.

To make sure you look your absolute best in your photos, drink plenty of water in the days before and on the day of your session. You should also try to avoid consuming alcohol or salty foods, which can have a negative impact on your complexion. You want your skin looking healthy and fresh!

Refresh your look.

If you regularly dye your hair, consider getting a touch-up the week of your boudoir session to make sure your locks look luscious. A boudoir shoot is also the perfect excuse to do a little self-pampering. Get a fresh manicure, pedicure and even a wax. These may seem like small details, but they’ll really pop in your photos. And if you choose to tan, do so naturally and in the nude to avoid unsightly tan lines or get a professional tanning job. Don’t use any sprays, gels, or lotions that may take away from your natural beauty!

Don’t wear tight clothes to your session.

When choosing an outfit to wear to your session, pick something casual, comfortable, and most importantly, loose. Tight clothing can leave indentations and lines on your skin that will stand out in photos, so avoid bras, socks, belts, or especially tight jeans or tops. Go for something loose and comfortable, like sweats or a hoodie, that won’t leave any marks on your skin.

Bring plenty of extras.

You have invested time and money in looking and feeling gorgeous for your boudoir session. The last thing you want is a rip in your lacy lingerie or a pair of torn fishnets to ruin your day. Make sure you have backup pieces, just in case the worst happens, and save yourself from stressing about a run in your tights.

Relax!

Most importantly, take a deep breath and relax! Have fun with your photo session. Alison will do her absolute best to make you comfortable. She is there to make you feel like the glamorous and gorgeous woman you are, so let her do her job and embrace your most sensual self.
